I use professional cinema and stills equipment chosen for performance, reliability, and adaptability in real conditions. These systems allow me to capture high-resolution visual assets without compromise — even in unpredictable environments.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & FIELD GEAR

My approach to visual storytelling requires equipment that can perform reliably across a wide range of environments — from remote mountains and overland terrain to aviation-supported locations and unpredictable weather.

I am a Nikon Professional Service member.
I use top-of-the-line gear to capture the highest quality and detail.
Why it matters: My camera systems are chosen for reliability in harsh conditions and image quality that holds up on both large screens and fine art prints.

My gear investments are organized around three core principles:

1. Cinematic Capture & Imaging Quality

To deliver high-quality motion and still imagery suitable for commercial use and campaign work, I use cinema and still systems chosen for:

  • Dynamic range

  • Color fidelity

  • Low-light performance

  • Consistency across formats

These systems allow me to create deliverables that stand up to professional broadcast and editorial standards.

2. Reliability & Redundancy

Field environments can be unforgiving. My kit is structured so that key components have redundancy, and power systems are designed to support extended operations away from electrical infrastructure.

This means:

  • Backup cameras and lenses

  • Multiple power sources

  • Rugged cases and protection systems

  • Redundant capture workflows

The focus is on making work happen, even when conditions aren’t perfect.

3. Field Adaptation & Mobility

Real conditions demand solutions, not just gear. My setup includes:

  • Support gear for stability in uneven terrain

  • Weather-resistant protection

  • Solutions for overland and aviation environments

  • Tools that reduce setup friction and allow creative focus

The result is a production rig that emphasizes trustworthy execution, not just spec performance.

TRANSPORTATION

My part-time house, office, and exploration rig is an Alp Adventurer 19RD motorhome with an extensive 4x4 conversion and many custom upgrades. It is a self-sufficient platform from where I can live and work beyond paved roads for weeks at a time.
I have built many vehicles and tried various setups before settling on this type of vehicle.

If you want to learn more about the rig, here it is a video that shows some of its features. Of course…there is always something to change or upgrade :)
